Description

MATERIALS

Aluminum-Tinned Copper

CHARACTERISTICS
  • Easy installation with manual, mechanical or hydraulic puncher.
  • Made of high conductivity aluminum.
  • For indoor or outdoor use.
  • Copper coated body to guarantee bimetallic use.
  • Copper-Aluminum (Cu-Al), Aluminum-Aluminum (Al-Al) or Copper-Copper (Cu-Cu) connections to join two cables.
  • Body with tin coating to increase resistance to corrosion.
  • It can be used in voltages up to 35,000 volts.
  • The connector features a countersunk barrel to facilitate cable entry and prevent possible conductor damage during insertion.
  • The standard barrel allows an average number of strikeouts, which increases the mechanical resistance of the connection.
  • The material is free of cracks, cavities, blowholes, surface or internal defects and any failure that may affect correct operation.
  • Connectors are clearly marked with color coding on the barrel.
  • The barrel is pre-charged with a corrosion-inhibiting and current-carrying compound.
APPLICATION

Compression connectors are part of an electrical system that uses installation tools and sockets to make connections that are tight, robust and of high quality. These connectors are characterized by creating permanent unions that ensure the termination and splicing of cables according to the design of the installation. The connectors have the function of improving the electrical and mechanical contact of the cable, since these elements will be used outdoors or indoors. This type of connector is suitable for use in connections that are subjected to mechanical stress, either due to the effect of the wind or due to the installation, such as connection to equipment, mainly electrical panels.
